Tuesday night marked yet another episode of AGT without judge Simon Cowell. The music mogul is recovering from surgery after an electric bike accident left him with a broken back.
Even though he couldn’t be there in person, Simon still took the time to tweet about the show, which was the last performance episode before a winner is crowned in tonight’s Season 15 finale. Will Simon make an appearance?
Simon Cowell Tweets About ‘AGT’ Finale
On Tuesday night, Simon tweeted, “It’s the #AGT finals tonight. Good luck to all the contestants and thank you all for tuning in. I wish I was there.” This confirmed for fans before the show aired that Simon would not be making an appearance, despite rumors to the contrary.
It’s not the first time Simon has tweeted his thoughts on the show without him. Back when the live shows first started, he posted his thanks to guest judge Kelly Clarkson, adding, “Miss all of you. What a Great Show.”
A source told People that Simon watched the first episode without him from the hospital after surgery. The show reportedly “sent him a giant X and a Golden Buzzer” to make him feel more at home. The judge has since returned to his Malibu home.
Will Simon Be At The ‘AGT’ Finale Tonight?
We’ve been wondering for a while now if Simon Cowell will return to AGT before the end of the season, even if it’s just via video chat. Recently, his fellow judges hinted strongly at him being there for the finale.
“He is going to come to the finale, but do not tell anyone,” Heidi Klum recently told The Mirror. It’s not clear if she meant Tuesday’s finals episode, or the grand finale airing tonight.
“I would not count out seeing Simon again before this season’s end,” fellow judge Howie Mandel added. We’re not sure if the judges are referring to an in-person appearance or if Simon will appear via video from his home. Either way, we’re excited to maybe see him before the winner is announced.
