We will never really know if everything we see on TV is real, but it’s far to say A LOT of it is overproduced. The famous Golden Buzzer has featured on ‘Got Talent’ shows for years now, but are they pre-planned? It may just be the case after Amanda Holden revealed some unknown truths behind it. Whilst Simon Cowell dismissed her statement, can we be sure Holden didn’t just expose BGT?
Amanda Holden says crew wait to throw confetti after the golden buzzer is pushed
The BGT judges recently sat down with Heart Radio to discuss the new season of BGT. David Walliams revealed that every judge had pushed the golden buzzer in London and that he was the last to do so. Cowell also mentioned that every year, he looks forward to the feeling of pressing it. Now, here is where it got a little intense.
Amanda Holden hints at the Golden Buzzers being staged
Amanda said the following about how the Golden Buzzer works:
“Do you know what it really is though? There’s two blokes [Slang for men] that have to quickly run up a ladder and chuck buckets of…” Before Amanda could even finish her sentence, Cowell panicked and pointed at Amanda to stop. It seems Simon knew what Holden was going to say. She quickly apologiZed to Simon. ‘I like to believe everything is real’ replied Simon. Now, we aren’t professional analysts but it seems Cowell may have been hinting at the fact Golden Buzzer isn’t an entirely spontaneous decision.
