Simon Cowell Confirmed As Judge On This New Family Oriented ‘Got Talent’ Show

Listen up, because there’s a brand new ‘Got Talent’ format heading our way! Let us introduce you to ‘Canadian Family’s Got Talent’, a brand new show designed for quarantine & partly produced by AGT. ‘Got Talent’ boss, Simon Cowell has announced that he’ll be a judge on the finale episode which is coming soon. Simon Cowell confirmed as judge on the finale of ‘Canadian Family’s Got Talent’

Breakfast Television and America’s Got Talent are teaming up to see if Canadian families across the country have talent. Contestants that make it through to the final will have the opportunity to be judged by Simon Cowell.

Speaking on the new show, here’s what Cowell had to say about the new format on Breakfast Television: “When I heard about this idea, I went, ‘this is brilliant!’. I love the idea of this, I’ve always wanted to make a family show, couldn’t be a better time to do it. You don’t have to worry about the production element or the sound or anything like this. I’ll be there at the end to hopefully judge the best of the best.”

“I think originality is really important. If you’re going to choose a song to sing, I always say ‘find a version that is your version’. It’s all about showcasing your talent, having fun with it, don’t overthink it but try and do something we haven’t seen before,” he said when asked to give advice to the contestants.

“There’s always undiscovered talent and there has to be a lot of undiscovered talent in Canada,” he continued.

Canada’s Got Talent only lasted a year before it was canceled back in 2012 so this new show will be the first ‘Got Talent’ format in the country in eight years. We can also expect the winner and the two runner-ups of the show to receive a prize that has not been announced as of yet. Watch the full interview with Simon Cowell from his Malibu home, below.
