Scary Footage Of Dead Bodies Stored In Refrigerator Truck Amid Coronavirus
The coronavirus death toll in the United States has continued to climb well over 3,000. The virus continues to spread rapidly and some hospitals have become overrun with patients. Rapper Ice T recently posted a video to Twitter from a friend whose company is renting refrigerated trucks in New York City. The video shows lifeless bodies on gurneys lining the streets outside Maimonides Medical Center in Borough Park. They are then lifted into a refrigerated truck.
The man in the video says that all of the bodies will be taken and piled into the truck. This is followed by a clip of two men dragging one of the bodies inside of the truck. The video has already garnered over 215,000 views and will no doubt continue to be shared by people who are frightened by this scene.
Refrigerator Trucks Are Becoming Temporary Morgues In NYC For Coronavirus Victims
FEMA recently sent out 85 refrigerator trucks to store dead bodies since NYC hospitals are overflowing with people. One Twitter user documented both tents and refrigerator trucks set up outside of Manhattan’s Bellevue Hospital to store dead bodies. He noted that the “streets are quiet,” after New Yorkers have been urged to stay home during this outbreak.
Another showed footage of bodies being loaded into refrigerator trucks outside of a hospital in Brooklyn. The video now has over five million views and the man behind the lens was in complete shock as he was witnessing this harrowing scene.
Coronavirus cases in NYC have spiked to more than 40,000 and it is assumed that more people will die as hospitals wait for shipments of ventilators and medical supplies to tend to patients.
Some People On Social Media Found The Videos To Be Disturbing
Videos and images of this nature are certainly not pleasant for everyone. One woman on Twitter called for more “uplifting stories.”
Other’s felt that the videos might show people the severity of the virus and keep them from going outside. Some people in NYC have not been abiding by the social distancing or staying at home orders and it seems like now would be a good time to start.
But New York City isn’t the only place that is struggling with an influx of coronavirus cases and deaths. In Spain, an ice rink was converted into a morgue to accommodate all of the dead bodies as the country struggles with over 8,000 coronavirus deaths.
It seems that nobody is immune to the virus as medical workers continue to scramble to accommodate patients all over the world.
