Ratings Went Down In Week Three Of ‘The Four’
Week one of The Four saw decent, not great, but decent number but for a show that was as hyped as The Four was with all that star power it was still underwhelming. But the real test comes with the third week. Can they maintain the audience they had and build on the buzz. The answer is…not really.
The premiere got a 1.2 share with 3.75 million viewers, especially in the coveted 18-49 year range. This week they only got a 1.0 share with only 3.25 million voters. That may not seem like a big decline but by all metrics of a successful show, (especially given how much Fox has invested in hyping the show), it does not bode well. That means that a lot of people saw the premiere and chose not to return.
Their gamble of when they started The Four was to get a two week jump start on the return of popular shows like Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal which will be on at the same time as The Four starting next week. If the show can’t compete when it’s on against nothing all that popular, how is it going to do against two of the highest rated shows on TV?
