Rapper Takeoff From Migos Accused Of Sexual Assault With Alleged Hospital Documents As Evidence

Takeoff from the popular rap group Migos is currently under fire after an anonymous woman filed a suit alleging that the rapper raped her at a house party. The woman who filed the suit under the name Jane Doe said the incident occurred on June 23. New details are emerging about what happened during the night in question.
Takeoff From Migos Allegedly Raped A Woman At A Party
The woman said that Takeoff made her feel uncomfortable throughout the party after he was caught staring at her from across the room. He later offered her marijuana which she said she refused. After declining his advances multiple times, she maintains that a run in on a staircase between Takeoff and the man she attended the party with, who is believed to be Durel, a backup performer for Migos, led her to run off into an upstairs bedroom. There she planned to stay clear of the drama. In the lawsuit, she then maintains that Takeoff followed her into the bedroom and began touching her private areas. The woman detailed that she kept denying his advances, but he proceeded to flip her over and remove her clothes before raping her. He later left the room.
She alleges that after the incident, she immediately went to a hospital where she claims the staff examined physical evidence of forceful rape. After her examination, she said that the hospital notified the Los Angeles Police Department of the assault. She also claims she notified the Los Angeles Police Department personally but they did not yet launch an investigation.
The Next Steps The Woman Will Be Taking To Launch An Investigation
Her attorney Neama Rahmani said “She’s terrified. There’s a significant disparity in wealth and power. He’s a famous artist, he had security, there were weapons on the premises.” She also said that the woman “is someone who doesn’t have those resources and is also concerned about safety and retaliation. That adds an extra element in a case like this when he’s rich and powerful.” The suit is intended to help launch an investigation. “I don’t want to disparage law enforcement, but I’ve never seen a case handled like this,” the attorney continued. “It’s been a very drawn-out investigation and not much has been done. I’m hoping that after beginning discovery in this suit, other witnesses will come forward. We’re committed to supporting the criminal investigation, but the time for waiting for LAPD has passed.”
According to The Shade Room, “The woman is suing for sexual battery, assault, emotional distress and more and wants damages.” So far, Takeoff has not spoken publicly about these allegations against him. Durel has also not confirmed whether or not he attended the party or if he was with the woman that night.
