Pussycat Dolls Clap Back at ‘Strip Show’ and ‘Vulgarity’ Fan Backlash
The Pussycat Dolls reunited last week at the X Factor finale for a spectacular performance of their most famous tracks. It was reported to Ofcom, the UK’s TV regulator that thousands of complaints were sent in after the show. The girlband wore rather revealing costumes which had the country in uproar, some even calling it a ‘strip show’.
The Pussycat Dolls reunited for the finale of ‘X Factor: Celebrity’
For the first time in over a decade, the hit girl band reunited. We can’t deny, they absolutely killed it on stage with their singles mash up, but it didn’t have everyone in open arms…
Ofcom received 419 complaints regarding the performance and later released a statement to Sky News on the show’s featured guests:
“We are assessing the complaints against our broadcasting rules, but are yet to decide whether or not to investigate.”Ofcom
Many fans of the girl group took to Twitter to mock the ‘angry perants’ that called in to report the performance. As much as we like to sit on the fence in circumstances such as these, we must admit, A+ for meme quality!

Fans also used the opportunity to take a dig at Nicole ahead of the show about a finale performance a few years back:
The Pussycat Dolls clap back at the complaints
Dying to know how the girl band responded? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Bluntly as ever, the girls dismissed the claims by posting a recognition post to their designer. In other words, they’re above it all and will stay ‘obsessed’!
There’s a strong counter argument to all these claims however; Assuming that fans have been watching all season, why didn’t Try Star (Nicole’s unexpected safe seat act!) receive the same amount of complaints? The rugby boy band were told by producers to strip shirtless on the show and Ofcom clearly didn’t have hundreds calling in about that.
