Plus-Size Pole Dancer Teaches Important Lesson With THIS Inspiring ‘BGT’ Routine
ITV Emma Haslam, a wife and mother of one came to ‘BGT’ to show everyone that you can have tremendous flexibility no matter what size you are. She promoted body positivity and showed everyone that she is sexy and a true talent. Take a look at her season eight audition below that now has nearly 70 million views on YouTube.
Pole Dancer Emma Haslam Taught An Important Lesson On ‘BGT’
The judges could not wait to see what Emma had in store for them. Emma performed a pole dancing routine to Katy Perry’s “Firework” back in 2014. She wore a black bodysuit with fishnet cutouts on the sides. She started off the routine doing a variety of tricks before she went fully upside down on the pole doing a split. The audience went wild and the judge’s faces were full of complete and utter shock. “For you to get up there and have such good body confidence is a massive example to girls all over this country,” Amanda Holden said.

“I don’t care what size you are, you’re brilliant at what you do,” Alesha Dixon said. Though we didn’t get to hear Simon Cowell’s critique, the smile plastered on his face was a pretty good indicator of what he thought of the act. All four judges gave Emma “yes’s” and everyone was excited to see if she would be chosen for the Semi-Finals. Unfortunately, she was not chosen to perform in the Semi-Finals. Her message did touch the lives of so many people and definitely did make a huge impact on the show.

Where Is Emma Now?
After appearing on ‘BGT,’ Emma got a job offer to model for Yours Clothing, a plus size clothing brand. “The clothes made me feel great and fitted me perfectly,” she said after doing a photo shoot for the brand. “Pole fitness makes me confident with my body and I’m glad that Britain’s Got Talent gave me a chance to show that pole fitness is for everyone, regardless of shape or size.”
Emma now owns her own studio called Emma’s Pole Dancing which has helped people find a fun, friendly way to get fit. The studio offers classes in pole dancing, aerial silks and a variety of private or group lessons. She posted a picture on Instagram to show that she was even joined by her daughter during acro training.
Emma is seriously flexible beyond belief and often posts pictures posing with her pole dancing partners.
