After it was recently announced that Simon Cowell will not feature in this year’s Britain’s Got Talent finals amid COVID-19, fans are eager to discover who will take Cowell’s place.

Whilst many notable figures could take the seat, Jessica O’Reilly of Ladbrokes said: “Piers is the perfect person to replace Simon during the remainder of Britain’s Got Talent later on this year.”
Morgan is fully experienced in the role as ‘Got Talent’ judge, featuring on panels in both the UK and the US.

It’s been widely reported that both Piers and David Wallaims on the panel may be a bad choice, however. The two have publicly never gotten along, often taking hits at one another via Twitter.

David Walliams even refused to go to Simon Cowell’s birthday party if the now Daily Mail columnist was invited. Ouch!

“Amusing that @davidwalliams regularly ‘likes’ the nastiest tweets about me, yet is such a snivelling toady to my face,” Piers tweeted earlier this year.
“It’s not my fault @BGT ratings were so much higher when I was in your chair Dave!”

Cowell was initially set to feature on the show virtually from his home in Malibu, following a nasty bike accident earlier this month. However, due to doctor’s advice, Simon has pulled out of both judge roles on America’s Got Talent and the Britian’s Got Talent for the remainder of this year.
Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden, David Walliams, and both hosts, Ant & Dec will still return for the pre-recorded final rounds of the competition with a virtual audience.
