One Direction 10th Anniversary Reunion — Where and How Will We See All Five Of Them Together?
GettyImages Boy band One Direction will be celebrating their 10th anniversary in July. Even though the group is no longer making music together, they’re apparently planning something to celebrate the milestone.
Former group member Liam Payne recently told The Sun that the guys have been in contact about doing something to mark 10 years since One Direction was formed on The X Factor in 2010.
One Direction Plans 10-Year Celebration
“We’ve got a ten-year anniversary coming up so we’ve all been speaking together a lot over the last few weeks which has been really nice,” Liam told the newspaper. “To hear a lot of people’s voices and seeing old content and different things that we haven’t seen for a long time or never seen before, it’s very interesting.”
Liam added that he’s not sure what he’s allowed to say. However, he said there is “a number of different things” they’re working on “But more than anything it’s just been a real good time for us to connect together again,” he said.

The singer didn’t say whether Zayn Malik, who quit the group in 2015, would be involved in whatever celebration they have planned. One Direction released one last album without Zayn before announcing an indefinite hiatus in 2016.
According to MTV, fellow group member Harry Styles talked about the possibility of a reunion just last month. “It would be an interesting way to reunite,” he said of a possible concert stream. “I don’t know if that is the reunion that we’ve had in mind.”
Liam Payne Praises Band Mates’ Solo Music
Over the past several years, all five One Direction members have gone on to release solo music. Liam told The Sun that the group’s success is “insane,” adding, “I still feel like I don’t know what the hell I’m doing.”

Liam released his debut solo album LP1 last year, and recently appeared on Alesso’s song “Midnight.” Zayn, Niall Horan, and Harry Styles have all released two albums, and Louis Tomlinson put out his debut album earlier this year.
“It’s amazing and everyone’s had such great success. It’s been great hearing a lot of Harry’s stuff at the moment,” Liam said of his group mate’s success. “Adore You, I see it in the charts all the time. I think he’s really found his sound at the moment which is a joy to watch.”
According to the New York Post, Liam, Louis, Harry, and Niall have all refollowed Zayn on social media. Although he apparently hasn’t followed them back, this could be a sign that the guys are planning a reunion of all five members. Fingers crossed!
