Olly Murs Is Having Problems With His Swivel Chair On ‘The Voice’ UK
Oh, Olly Murs. You scamp. It seems that his highly anticipated start on The Voice UK after his departure from The X Factor family is off to a rocky start. Last week, Tom Jones punched him in the arm and this week his Voice swivel chair failed to execute at the right moment. Poor, Olly.
When one thinks of The Voice, the first thing that comes to mind is the coaches during the blind auditions sitting in their motorized swivel chairs. It’s the show’s most iconic image. It seems that during the show when an artist was performing that Olly wanted to capture for his team, he hit the button and nothing happened, no satisfying turn around. Olly yelled that he hit his button and the producers did grant that he hit it in the time allotted. It seems that in the crucial moment the motor mechanism on the chair broke.
You’d think they would check those chairs before every show. It’s just the most important technical moment and everything. I don’t know how they run things in the UK, but in America there would be some teamster grip working on those chairs before every show. Get it together, guys.
