Nicole Scherzinger took a hit at Spice Girl, Mel B on the latest episode of The Masked Singer, mocking the former AGT judge on her vocal range abilities. Was this just a friendly hit or is there more to the fiery comment?
After The Masked Singer aired earlier this year in the UK with its own version, bosses at ITV are eager to bring it back as soon as possible. Now, The US version of the show is available to watch on UK screens for the first time.
The latest episode of the show saw the detective judges speculating over who the Butterfly may be. Mel B was a particular favorite amongst guesses, but Nicole thought otherwise, claiming she didn’t think Mel B had the ‘kind of range’ that the butterfly had.
The Butterfly made hints and gave clues to the viewers at home ahead of their performance: “‘After achieving success in many stages of life, I found myself terrified of the place I used to call home and now with this mask I have found the courage to be reborn.”
Last year, The Pussycat Dolls, of which Nicole is a member, claimed that the Spice Girls reunion that shook the world was inspiring to them and helped make the decision to get back together. Judging by past comments, we expect the jab by Scherzinger was nothing more than a light-hearted diss.
Luckily, for all you Masked Singer fanatics, ITV has bought the rights to air the American version of the show. Tune in every Saturday on ITV at 4:35 p.m. as celebrity judges, Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy, Ken Jeong, and Nicole Scherzinger take to the panel to unmask the latest lineup of unknown singers.
Alternatively, you can catch up on the show via the ITV Hub, on demand here.
Judge, Nicole Scherzinger will be no stranger to UK audiences seen as she has accompanied Simon Cowell on the panel of The X Factor for several seasons over the years. Another familiar face, Ken Jeong who is also a judge on the UK version of the show will feature.
