Mom Accidentally Falls Through The Ceiling During Daughter’s Talent Show Audition

A viral video on TikTok shows the shocking moment a young singer’s mom fell through the ceiling of her bedroom while she was filming for an audition. The clip has received millions of views.

Mom Falls Through Daughter’s Ceiling In TikTok Video
Liz San Millan, an 18-year-old college student at the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts, was reportedly practicing for a school audition at home in Texas when the incident happened.
According to Good Morning America, while Liz was singing “Kindergarten Boyfriend” from Heathers: The Musical, her mother Kim’s foot came through the ceiling. In the clip, Liz jumps at the sudden noise. “Oh my God!” she says as she looks at her mom’s leg.

“There was a loud noise … I turn around and all of a sudden, my mom’s leg is through the ceiling,” Liz told GMA. “My dad said, ‘Did you just fall through the ceiling?’ and [my mom] said, ‘You’re not going to ask if I’m OK?’ She was a little sassy about it, actually.”
Liz said she and her family “laughed for like 30 minutes straight” over the incident. Her mom gave her permission to post the clip, as she thought it was “hilarious.” She was apparently uninjured.
How Did This Happen?
In her TikTok post, Liz wrote, “live footage of my mom telling me to break a leg.” But how did Kim’s foot end up going through the ceiling in the first place? It turns out, she was in the attic looking for luggage.

“Right before she fell, you can see the irritation in my face due to her banging around while she knew I was filming,” Liz told Buzzfeed. “There are wooden beams in the attic that you’re supposed to step on, but she tripped and stepped right into my ceiling.”
Liz said her dad was working to fix the hole in her bedroom ceiling. Her mom, meanwhile, loved reading the comments on her TikTok video.
