Model Ashley Graham Goes Completely Nude For Elle Magazine In Fight Against Mom-Shaming [SEE PHOTOS]
Ashely Graham is not letting trolls ruin her bliss as a new mother. The model just took some nude photos for the Elle Friends and Family issue shot by her husband Justin Ervin. Her 6-month-old baby Isaac is also in the spread as Ashley breastfeeds him putting an end to mommy-shaming once and for all. Take a look at one of the photos below that Ashley shared to her Instagram.
Ashley Graham Posed Stunning New Nude Photos
Ashley has been very open since giving birth about how people on social media have made mean comments to her showing off her new body. “If there’s a question to be asked, ask it. But other than that, keep your trap shut and just let that mother figure it out. The mommy-shaming on social media is out of control” she said in the Elle interview. According to Medela, “Mom-shaming is bullying other moms for their parenting choices in subtle (and sometimes not so subtle) aggressions sprinkled into playgroup conversations. It’s a small way for some women to gain stature among a group by tearing down others.” The mommy-shamers are definitely going to be quiet now after the star is using her platform to normalize post-baby bodies and embracing the role of being a mother.
“When I got pregnant, I had to re-imagine my relationship with my body with this creature inside me taking over. I was gaining weight so rapidly,” she said. “Then, to get stretch marks on my stomach, that to me was like, ‘Oh my gosh. I can’t believe this happened.” Ashley has posted snaps of her stretch marks in the past and is proud to show them off. “This is not just a battle wound. This is something that has changed my life forever, and I’m going to celebrate my new body” she continued.
Ashley Has Gotten Pretty Candid About Motherhood
In another shot shared to her Instagram account, Ashley pumped breast milk while inside of an Uber. Her caption said “Use to answer emails on my Uber rides, now I pump before my breasts explode. While she was hit with critics in her Instagram comments section saying “I’m sorry but this is kind of ew. Normalizing breastfeeding in public? I’m a woman and I’m all for baby’s eating whenever they want but let’s be realistic,” she is not letting it stop her from sharing this new chapter of her life with the world.
Ashley also recently posed in a colorful bikini for a backyard photo shoot, again showing off her stretch marks. She praised the bathing suit designer Swimsuits For All for having her “feeling great” for her first summer as a mom.
Can we all agree that we should normalize and embrace women like Ashley Graham who are vulnerable and embracing motherhood on social media?
