5 Facts About The Silhouettes
The group was founded by Lynne Waggoner-Patton.
Lynne created The Silhouettes in March 2009. During their original time on AGT, one group member described her as “like a mom to all of us.” Lynne pointed out that there were children in the group with life-threatening illnesses. “You’d never know it,” she said.
Lynne explained that she’s unable to have children of her own, and added, “So when they call me mom, my life’s fulfilled.”
The Silhouettes raise money for charity.
Through their performances, the group has raised over $50,000 for homeless children in the United States. They aim to help children in need around the world. Their performances also send inspiring messages about love and kindness.
The dancers are various ages.
When the group first competed on AGT, the youngest member of the group was just 3 years old. According to their bio on the show’s website, their ages for Champions now range from 10 to 26 years old. It’s amazing to see dancers of so many ages come together to create something beautiful.
They competed on ‘AGT’ Season 6.
In 2011, The Silhouettes competed on AGT. They wowed the judges and audience with several performances, including one paying tribute to American veterans. They finished the season in second place. The Silhouettes are tied for the highest-placing group act in AGT history, along with Zurcaroh from Season 13 and Detroit Youth Choir in Season 14.
