Meet The Incredible Costumed Contestants Of ‘The Masked Singer’
The Masked Singer hasn’t even hit the airwaves yet and has already created quite the stir. Fox’s newest talent competition show has been dropping sneak peeks left and right, the most recent of which had everyone asking, who is The Lion? That’s just one of many mysteries to be solved as we’re introduced to the rest of the costumed competitors in this clip from the show.
These suits are not your average halloween store fare, and I would advise anyone desperate to get a closer look at them head over to the Instagram pages for the Rabbit, the Hippo, the Lion, the Unicorn, the Poodle, the Raven, the Monster, the Alien, the Deer, and the Pineapple, respectively. So far, my personal favorites are: the Deer, who’s steampunk aesthetic features golden gauntlets and antlers sprouting from a gas mask face. The Hippo, who’s thick-rimmed glasses, puffer jacket, and big hat (not to mention the gold tusk) gives him—her? them?—the look of Run-DMC by way of the Zootopia universe. And the Pineapple who…has the head of a pineapple, a pet parrot, and the same Hawaiian-shirted abs—most likely—of whoever is actually inside that thing.
The Masked Singer will have celebrities from all walks of life as we’ve never seen them before (literally), performing against each other with their true identities being revealed only after someone is eliminated. The comment sections are rife with speculation now and will continue to be going forward, but for me one question reigns supreme above them all: how hot is it inside those costumes?
