YouTube Is Taylor Swift engaged to boyfriend Joe Alwyn? That’s what the internet seems to think after watching her new Netflix documentary Miss Americana. It sure looks like she could be wearing an engagement ring.
The ring in question is on Taylor’s left ring finger in one of the documentary’s scenes. The film’s director Lana Wilson was apparently surprised when asked about the jewelry, saying, “Whoa. I’m going to have to revisit that scene.”
Who Is Taylor Swift’s Boyfriend Joe Alwyn?
Joe Alwyn is a 28-year-old English actor. He’s appeared in the films Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk, The Favourite, Boy Erased, and Harriet. He and Taylor have reportedly been dating since 2016, although they have kept their relationship very private.

“I also was falling in love with someone who had a really wonderfully normal balanced grounded life,” Taylor said during the documentary. “And we decided together that we wanted our relationship to be private.”
At a listening party for her album Reputation, Taylor allegedly told fans that her song “Gorgeous” is about Joe. It’s easy to assume that many of her other songs released during their relationship are also about him, including the recent track “London Boy.” (Joe was born in London.)
Joe has been asked about Taylor several times in the past, but he says he would rather “talk about work” and keep his personal life private. The couple doesn’t even post photos together on social media, although they’ve been photographed by the paparazzi several times.

The former Voice Mega Mentor has already sparked engagement rumors with lyrics on her most recent album Lover. On the title track, Taylor sings, “My heart’s been borrowed and yours has been blue,” a reference to the wedding tradition of something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue.
In “Paper Rings,” Taylor sings, “I like shiny things, but I’d marry you with paper rings.” Now it looks like she might be wearing a very real engagement ring.

However, Taylor expressed some uncertainty about settling down in the new documentary. “There’s part of me that feels like I’m 57 years old,” she said. “But there’s part of me that’s definitely not ready to have kids and definitely not ready for all that grown up stuff.”
But fans Can’t stop talking about their relationship
Maybe the ring wasn’t an engagement ring. But considering how private Taylor and Joe have been, we wouldn’t be surprised if they kept their engagement a secret as well.
