Angelina Jordan Astar known as Angelina Jordan, is a Norwegian child prodigy who won the 2014 season of Norway’s Got Talent at age 8, by singing classic jazz including “Gloomy Sunday” and “Fly Me to the Moon“. She is now competing on ‘AGT: Champions’ Season 2
Her passion for singing began at 1 and a half years
Angelina was born and raised in Oslo, Norway and her passion for music began at just one-and- a-half years of age. She first saw Whitney Houston on YouTube performing I Will Always Love You and that was her first major musical influences.
Angelina won Norway’s Got Talent at age 8
At the age of 7, Angelina auditioned for Norway’s Got Talent performing Billie Holiday’s Gloomy Sunday. She later won the competition.
Avicii chose her for his Volvo vocals
In 2016, Avicii chose Angelina for the vocals on his worldwide Volvo commercial campaign, a brilliant cover of Nina Simone’s Feeling Good.
She is a published author
As if all this wasn’t enough, Angelina has a successful, illustrated children’s book in her native Norway making Angelina the youngest published author in the country’s history.
Angelina always performs barefoot
Her lack of shoes has always raised eyebrows and based on the true story of when she was 6 years old, Angelina met a homeless girl who has no shoes of her own. They spoke for a long time, after which Angelina gave that girl her own shoes and vowed never to appear on stage with shoes again until all the world’s children had them.
Since that time, Angelina has always performed barefoot in public.
She was on Little Big Shots
In April 2016, she performed “Fly Me to the Moon” on the American television’s children’s talent show Little Big Shots. Yeah, she is that cool and we can’t wait to see her tonight.
