A whole new group of six celebrities was introduced this week on The Masked Singer. But perhaps none were more interesting (or creepy) than the Taco. He did bring the heat though, with a solid voice and perfect amount of cheesy-ness! Who could it be?
Here are the clues and predictions for The Masked Singer Taco so far!
Clues On ‘The Masked Singer’ Season 3
The Taco says he’s been “a comforting part of your lives for decades” in his clues. VHS tapes are shown on the screen. He says he’s got plenty of “seasoning” and he’s in a “good place,” then an anchor and Rubiks cube appear. A trolley car is also shown in a refrigerator. The Taco is here to spice things up, “to enchiladas and beyond!” He wants to be the “last mask standing.”
In the second week of clues, Starting with a “news update,” the Taco says he loved breaking out of his shell on stage. We see a whoopee cushion in a taco shell. He claims you may think of him as a “buttoned-up mild type” but he used to be a “hot head.” But another taco made him into a “softer taco.” A “galaxy” is seen with constellations on it. Taco says he can’t even believe his career is real, then a wig dances on and off the screen.
Popular Guesses for The Taco on ‘The Masked Singer’
Judges have guessed that the Taco is Regin Philbin, Martin Short, Bob Saget, Harry Connick Jr., Seth MacFarlane, Ted Danson, or Alec Baldwin. So most of the guesses have centered around either hosts or comedians. The Internet is divided on who the Taco could be too. Popular guesses include Tim Allen, Ted Danson, Tom Hanks, Tom Bergeron, and Bob Saget.
Our Prediction For The Taco on ‘The Masked Singer’
I was actually surprised none of the panelists predicted this one correctly. His voice is very distinct! Because of that, The Masked Singer Taco HAS to be…Tom Bergeron!
Let’s start out with the voice. As soon as I heard it, I knew who this was. His singing sounds just like his talking does! If you don’t believe me, watch this video. He’s a crooner for sure.
In the first clue package, the Taco talks about being around for decades and Tom Bergeron has been on television since the early 1980s. The VHS tapes we see are a nod to America’s Funniest Home Videos, which Tom Bergeron used to host. We also saw an anchor, which could be alluding to his time working in local news or the fact that he’s from New England. The Rubiks cube in his clues is a reference to Hollywood Squares, another show he hosted. Next, Taco mentioned running “as fast as I can” and Tom Bergeron wrote a book called “I’m Hosting As Fast As I Can!”
The trolley car is an exact replica of the one on Mister Roger’s Neighborhood and Tom Bergeron sang on an album called “Thank You, Mister Rogers.” A whoopee cushion in the clues and Taco’s “class clown” comment are in reference to Tom’s work as a comedian. Taco talked about how he used to be a “hot head,” which fits in with how Tom Bergeron used to have anger management issues and now does transcendental meditation. Finally, the galaxy we saw showed the constellation Gemini, which is his wife, Lois Bergeron’s Zodiac sign!
