Who Is The Skeleton? ‘The Masked Singer’ Spoilers And Predictions

Season 2 of The Masked Singer is off to the races, meaning the guessing game is on! And one of the most intriguing costumes was the Skeleton. He is even blinged out with a top hat and a bone mic! But who’s the celebrity under the bones?
Here are the clues and performances from the Skeleton so far.
Clues On ‘The Masked Singer’
In the Super Sneak Peak, we saw the number “4261” on a tombstone, which HAS to be a clue. The first clue package left us with a lot of questions still, but here’s what we know. The Skeleton says he chose his costume because he has “no fear of death.” He’s been around the block a few times, implying that he’s an older celebrity. He says so many doors have been opened to him and he always says yes. But he’s “tired of playing second fiddle!” The Skeleton says tonight will be a “wild and crazy party” and some guys are seen at a Christmas party. Later, he says that he “has no booty to shake,” so he has to “shake shake shake his bones.”
Popular Guesses On ‘The Masked Singer’
During the Skeleton’s first performance, the judges immediately guess it’s Martin Short. Jenny also suggests Jon Cryer or Nathan Lane. Robin guesses Dana Carvey or Mike Meyers. But after joking it was his dad, Ken says he KNOWS it’s Martin Short, because he idolizes him and has studied him. Fans online seem to agree, but also threw out Christopher Meloni, Steve Martin, and Paul Shaffer as possible options.
Our Prediction And Possible Spoilers
We need more meat on the bones (see what we did there?) before we’re able to predict this one for sure. But our best guess is that the Skeleton is Paul Shaffer. Paul is best known for being David Letterman’s musical director on his late night show. The show, coincidentally, had exactly 4,261 episodes. Paul is almost 70 years old, which would explain the clues about him being older. He also said he’s “tired of playing second fiddle,” which he did behind David Letterman for years. The Christmas party scene can also be explained because Paul was the musical director for A Very Murray Christmas in 2015. He’s also released an album titled, “The World’s Most Dangerous Party.”
