The Masked Dancer is already off to an epic start. What a fun and crazy show that we love to add into our talent show family! And it takes everything from The Masked Singer to a whole new level of wild. Plus, the guessing game is as fun as ever, starting with the Hammerhead.
As the first performer of the series, the Hammerhead is not playing around. But he is having a great time on The Masked Dancer stage. So who is under the mask? Our prediction and the decoded clues are below!
The Hammerhead’s Clues on The Masked Dancer
Hammerhead’s clues start with him saying that as a shark, he’s always “killing it.” He claims to be a workaholic and we see a plate with a burger, shredded carrots, and an alphabet soup that read “TALK.” We also saw butter being put into a cup of Joe. Hammerhead says he became famous “almost too quickly.” He started to feel like his best moments were behind him. So he shifted into who everyone wanted him to be, but he wasn’t happy. Hammerhead is seen painting a lifeguard surfing a huge wave. Then, we see him on a surf/boogie board with a “C” on it. A clock is shown counting up from 6:01 to 6:05am. “Staying hungry” is how he moves forward.

The Masked Dancer also has a new twist! Each contestant can say one word in their real, undisguised voice. His “Word Up” clue was “dramatic.”
Popular Guesses
The panelists have guessed that Hammerhead is Carrot Top, Zac Efron, or Joe Jonas. Because of his body and stature, popular guesses online have generally been bulky, athletic guys like Taylor Lautner, Ryan Lochte, and Vinny from Jersey Shore.

Vinny Guadagnino from Jersey Shore!
And here’s how all the clues fit him. The costume itself is a nod to Vinny. He appeared in the Syfy original movie Jersey Shore Shark Attack. The burger is a reference to his guest starring role on MTV’s scripted comedy series The Hard Times of RJ Berger. The soup with “TALK” written into it is another allusion to Vinny, for his talk show The Show With Vinny on MTV. But all that being said, his early fame on Jersey Shore was definitely the role he is most well-known for, which explains the clues about his early fame.

The panelists picked up on the bulletproof coffee clue, which is part of a keto diet. Vinny is also known as the “Keto Guido” and has lost over 50 pounds on the diet! The Hammerhead painting also points to Vinny, who has said he enjoys painting. And his dancing connection? Vinny has danced for thousands in Vegas as part of the Chippendales show!
