Let ‘The Voice’ Battles Begin!
Last night was the first night of the battle rounds of The Voice and it was a sight to behold. The contestants squared off against each other in a sing-off while the coaches decided whether or not to steal the singers from their fellow coaches. My mom told me not to steal but in this case I think it’s OK.
Lucas Holliday vs. Meagan McNeal
Lucas and Meagan sang Bobby Brown’s 80’s classic My Prerogative. Though both have amazing voices, Lucas moved forward.
Brooke Simpson vs. Sophia Bollman
These two took on Bob Dylan’s You’re a Big Girl Now and sang it better than Dylan ever did, (which isn’t tough). Miley got to choose between the two and she chose Brooke, though they both have phenomenal voices.
Keisha Renee Vs. Noah Mac
They sang I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry by Hank Williams. Keisha gave it a great soulful spin and Noah sang it more traditionally. Blake picked Keisha, which isn’t surprising. She’s bringing something new to country.
Moriah Formica vs. Shilo Gold
These two shredded the classic rock standard American Woman. SHREDDED. Both of them have perfect rock voices. Raspy, aggressive, and sexy as hell. It was up to Miley and she picked Moriah.
Adam Pearce vs. Whitney Fenimore
Adam and Whitney did an amazing duet of Stevie Nicks and Tom Petty’s (RIP) Stop Dragging My Heart Around. Adam picked…er…Adam. Blake and Miley both tried to steal Whitney but she went with Miley.
Chris Weaver vs. Kathrina Feigh
Chris and Kathrina sang Ariana Grande’s Dangerous Woman. Though both of them have great voices, Jennifer chose Chris Weaver. Blake then stole Kathrina.
