Lady Gaga Stayed Away From Ariana Grande During “Rain On Me” Collab Because…

Lady Gaga Ariana Grande Rain On MeSamantha Agate | Talent Recap

Lady Gaga’s new song “Rain On Me” with Ariana Grande just released and fans are buzzing with excitement. This adds to the anticipation of Gaga’s “Chromatica” album set to drop next week. She was nervous to work with Ariana but in the end, their song is the perfect summer pop anthem.

She posted an Instagram picture promoting the song with the caption “One time I felt like I was crying so much it would never stop. Instead of fighting it, I thought bring it on, I can do hard things. @arianagrande I love you for your strength and friendship. Let’s show them what we’ve got. 👯‍♀️ #RAINONME out now!”

The Collaboration Between Lady Gaga & Ariana Grande Was A Long Time In The Making

Gaga has always wanted to work with Ariana but it was something she was putting off for a while. She did not want to hang out with her for fear of being a bad influence. She said in an interview “I was too ashamed to hang out with her, because I didn’t want to project all of this negativity onto something that was healing and so beautiful.” Getting in her own head has been one of her biggest weaknesses, but she finally allowed herself to open up which spawned this amazing collaboration.

In, the past, Gaga has struggled with addiction to drugs and alcohol because she thought it would bring new inspiration to create music. It was her job to overcome this addiction and become the strong artist that she is today. Gaga also mentioned that she now feels free from her past struggles including the burden of a sexual assault from a producer weighing on her mind. One thing that helped her was encouragement from other artists like Ariana who are “teaching people about kindness, teaching people about compassion, teaching people about how to reach out and be there for someone, even when they don’t even know that they’re sad — it might be so deep that can’t even pinpoint it.”

Ariana has been the definition of overcoming obstacles in the past few years and Gaga felt she could learn from her. She did not expect to establish such a great relationship with Ariana.

Ariana Related To Lady Gaga On A New Level

The pop star also posted a promotional Instagram picture. Her caption said “one time ….. I met a woman who knew pain the same way I did… who cried as much as I did, drank as much wine as I did, ate as much pasta as I did, and who’s heart was bigger than her whole body. she immediately felt like a sister to me. she then held my hand and invited me into the beautiful world of chromatica and together, we got to express how beautiful and healing it feels to mothaf*ckinnnn cry! I hope this makes u all feel as uplifted as it does for us both. I love u @ladygaga, u stunning superwoman !”

It is clear that the pair had much more in common than they thought and helped each other in different ways. They both had similar mechanisms when it came to coping with issues including drinking in dealing with loss and breakups. But now, they can turn to music as a new form of release.

Fans Love This Collaboration With Two Strong Women

The Gaga and Ariana fans have been nothing but supportive when it comes to “Rain On Me.” One Twitter user said “TWO STRONG QUEENS AND AN AMAZING BOP” and we couldn’t agree more. Another Twitter user said “It’s amazing! Two powerful queens letting us know that it’s okay to cry. Saying I’d rather be dry but at least I’m alive this is on the 3 year anniversary of Ariana Grande’s horrible terrorist attack on her concert in Manchester. Gaga said she is so strong, and an idol.” This is a reference to the Manchester bombing during an Ariana Grande concert back in May 2017. The attack killed 23 people and left many concert-goers with psychological trauma. Ariana has remained strong through it all and this song gives a fresh perspective on how she wants to live life to the fullest no matter what is thrown at her.

“I can’t believe I’ve just been sitting in front of my computer for the last hour listening to #RainOnMe on repeat! @ladygaga and @ArianaGrande did amazing!” said another Twitter user. Their fans are extremely dedicated and supportive.

“I loved this song, Thank you @LadyGaga and @ArianaGrande#RainOnMe talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show-stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before,” said another.

Lady Gaga’s album “Chromatica” will be out on May 29, and will even feature a collaboration with the incredible Elton John.
