Kelly Clarkson will take Miley Cyrus’ place next season on The Voice. We all know that she was the first winner ever of American Idol and therefor understands what The Voice‘s contestants are going through. But what is her approach going to be as a coach on The Voice? She plans to emulate her own mentor Simon Cowell.
Some of you young folks might not remember back in the mists of time when Kelly Clarkson won the first season of American Idol. It was a big deal. The show was watched by pretty much everyone and the finale where she beat Justin Guarini got huge ratings. It even led to a terrible beach movie starring Kelly and Justin called from Justin to Kelly. Simon Cowell was in her corner from day one and it’s a big reason why she won. Even though Simon was portrayed as the villain of the show, he saw her potential early on.
So, now the disciple has become the master and it’s her turn be a judge, this time on The Voice. It’s only natural that she wants to be like Simon. His constructive criticism and honesty of what it’s like to be in the industry is what Kelly wants to emulate to prepare the contestants on The Voice to be out in the dog eat dog world of professional music. We can’t wait to see that.
