Kelly Clarkson’s Tour Has Been Filled With ‘The Voice’ Faves, Including…
Kelly Clarkson’s “Meaning of Life” Tour with Kelsea Ballerini and Brynn Cartelli is already becoming a Voice family reunion! Since it kicked off on January 24th, Kelly has invited multiple past contestants (and a winner) to join the stage.
So we’ve pulled together some clips and photos for a little recap of the tour cameos so far. And they are familiar faces to fans of The Voice!
Lynnea joined Team Kelly last season on The Voice after winning “The Comeback Stage.” When she was eliminated in the Top 12, Kelly said that she would invite Lynnea to sing on her tour. Well, she followed through on that promise in its second night! Lynnea and Kelly sang a duet of Billie Eilish’s “idontwannabeyouanymore.” It was a great performance, especially with Kelly’s harmonies over the top. This may be an unpopular opinion, but I think Lynnea should’ve made it farther in the competition. Maybe that’s just me!
I have never been so sad that I wasn’t at a concert than when I saw this cameo happened. Incoming first-time coach on The Voice (and EGOT winner) John Legend joined Kelly on her LA tour stop. The pair sang “Run Run Run” together and it was honestly epic. Especially with the staging and graphics behind them, this was a magical moment. One I wish I could’ve been there to experience first-hand! And, if you’re anything like me, I just can’t wait to see them interact and duke it out on The Voice next season.
Of course, Kelly had to invite her most recent winner to sing on her “Meaning of Life” Tour too! Seeing how she’s built into Brynn already has to be promising for Chevel. And this is just one step in that coming to fruition! Chevel sang her original song from The Voice, “Broken Hearts,” backed by Kelly. That is quite a statement, to say you’ve been backed by Kelly Clarkson! While the “Meaning of Life” Tour didn’t have a stop in Chevel’s home state of New Mexico, she made an appearance at the Glendale performance on February 1st.
And if all these cameos are making you want to go see the show live, you can still buy tickets to most of the “Meaning of Life” Tour stops. It looks like Kelly knows how to put on quite a show!
