Kelly Clarkson Breaks Down Crying While Filling The Last Spot On Her ‘Voice’ Team [VIDEO]

Amber Sauer had the chance of a lifetime to impress Kelly Clarkson during her season 14 audition on The Voice. Kelly was the only coach that had a spot left on her team so the pressure was on. Check out Amber’s rendition of Ed Sheeran’s “Shape Of You” which left Kelly in tears.
Amber Sauer Made Kelly Clarkson Cry On ‘The Voice’
This is not an easy song to sing because the first verse is so fast. However, Amber totally showed off her strong vocal skills with her own version of the song. All eyes were on Kelly to see if she was going to turn her chair. At the very last second of the song, Kelly turned her chair. All of the other coaches had filled their teams in previous episodes, so Amber got the last slot in the Blind Auditions. After singing, Amber broke down in tears seeing that Kelly turned her chair.

“I’m so happy that no one could turn their chair,” Kelly said as she was on the verge of tears. “I need a minute, I need a minute.” It became clear that Kelly really felt all of the emotion that Amber poured into her Blind Audition.
“I can sing pretty high, but that was damn high” Kelly added. “That was like me on my really good day. People might sing as high as you on the show, but not like how you sing on the show. That was like from the soul, like down here. I’m so excited that you are on my team. I would have fought like hell for you.” Amber was eliminated in the Battles after going up against Jorge Eduardo. Her elimination came as a shock because she definitely was one of the early standouts that triggered such an emotional reaction from Kelly.
Where Is Amber Now?
After appearing on The Voice Amber began a singing career overseas. “Currently, I am performing six nights a week on an island in South Korea and I am reminded nightly why I do what I do,” she told LA Voyage in 2019. “At the resort, I am performing at, there is always young kids coming to the show, and they are so excited to see us.”
She has now been offering online vocal lessons amid the pandemic. She also released her cover of the song “Issues” on YouTube and all streaming platforms.
