Katy Perry Subtly Throws Shade At Taylor Swift On ‘American Idol’
One of the greatest feuds in the history of pop music is that of Katy Perry and Taylor Swift. The two were friends back in the day but they had a major falling out and the venom that’s still in Katy’s soul reared its head yesterday during a taping of American Idol when she threw some shade Taylor Swift’s way.
It all happened during a montage in which a singer came on to audition and was asked by Luke Bryan who his biggest musical influences were. He became bashful and said,
“I’m sorry for this Katy… Taylor Swift”
Katy then added,
“I love her, as a songwriter, as well.”
She stuttered as she said it, like she only half meant it and emphasized the word “songwriter” as if to say she didn’t like her as a person. She then gave a funny look to accentuate her point. Their feud goes back to an argument over backup dancers apparently. There are rumors there was also a man involved. It is said that the Taylor Swift song Bad Blood is about Katy Perry.
Katy claims they buried the hatchet. I don’t think so.
