Instagram Katy Perry is just days away from meeting her baby girl and the American Idol judge has been very candid about how she has been feeling throughout her entire pregnancy. In an appearance on the Australian radio show Kyle and Jackie O, Katy mentioned that her body has gone through some incredible changes while pregnant. Take a look at the interview below.
‘American Idol’ Judge Katy Perry Got Candid About Her Pregnancy
Katy danced her way onto the screen during this remote appearance and showed off an adorable crop top with her belly on full display. The shirt says “smile” and it is actually a piece of merch that Katy had made for her record of the same name. At first, she was hesitant to wear it but then she said “F*ck it, I can still be young and fun and wear a crop top.” Her positive energy is genuinely contagious and she was all smiles speaking about becoming a mom. Katy spoke about how being in the spotlight, people always speculated that she was pregnant whenever she dated anyone new but being with Orlando Bloom was when it all became real for her.

“I’m a very active woman…and active mom, and during this time of COVID — and quite frankly an American revolution — I have been also putting out songs and heading towards putting out a record August 14,” she said. “I’m working really hard. The one blessing is I don’t have to travel extremely.” She went on to say “I’m really grateful for my body, and have so much respect for women.” This has led to her to get a “whole new viewpoint.”
Katy Spoke About Her Weight Gain And How Everything Is Swollen
We don’t exactly know when Katy’s due date is, but the way she was talking about nearing the end of our pregnancy leads us to believe the “Daisies” singer is ready to pop any day now. “My hands are swollen, my feet are starting to swell,” she said about her pregnancy body. This has forced her to wear sandals pretty much everywhere. But let’s be real, Katy would look gorgeous no matter what she is wearing. Katy laughed about how she previously nicknamed her baby girl Kicky Perry because of how active she is.
The American Idol judge is keeping busy at home coming out with her album on August 14, along with doing tons of remote talk show appearances and performances awaiting the arrival of her baby girl. has kept And of course, Katy had nothing but praise for her fiance and baby daddy Orlando Bloom. She called him “a great guy.”

Katy mentioned that she now weighs 190 pounds but it has not stopped her from being active and achieving a ton of new success with her new song “Smile.” She called herself a “large marge in charge.” One rumor that Katy put to rest during this appearance is whether or not Friends actress Jennifer Anniston is going to be the godmother of the child. While Jennifer and Orlando are good friends, Katy called this a “fun rumor.” So who will actually become the godmother?
