Katy Perry Calls Out ‘Idol’ Costar For Telling Her to “Do Something” with Leg Hair

American Idol judge Katy Perry is back in the spotlight and standing up for her right…to have leg hair. Perry shared on her Instagram story a behind the scenes video of herself firing back after co-star Luke Bryan told her on the American Idol set to “do something” about her leg hair.
Katy Perry Shuts Down Leg Hair Shamers in Instagram Video
Since the birth of her daughter Daisy, Katy Perry has been very vocal about how real her mommy duties have been. Sometimes, those mommy duties are so tasking that she does not have enough time in the day to shave her legs. I am sure mothers everywhere can relate. Unfortunately, not everyone thinks the same way.
The 36-year-old singer shared footage to her Instagram Story on Sunday, May 9 of an exchange between herself and co-star Luke Bryan on the set of American Idol. In the video, the country singer low key mentioned that Perry should shave her legs more.
In the video, Bryan turns to the camera with a smile and says, “I know you’re a mom and everything, but we gotta do something about this leg hair.”
Katy Perry kept her cool in the best way possible. She simply panned the camera down her leg, and showed the world some of her leg hair stubble. The exchange didn’t take much time, but Perry made it clear she did not have any plans to shave her legs anytime soon.
Utilizing her great sense of humor, she laughed it off and said, “No, I don’t got time!…I’d rather cuddle with my daughter!”
The 41-year-old country star tried to get the last word, but Katy Perry playfully cut him off by yelling, “Yeah!”
Way to go Katy. Way to go.
Katy Perry Previously Admitted She Chooses Not to Shave Her Legs
This is definitely not the first time Perry has been vocal about her lack of shaving. Not only is she vocal, but she completely owns it.
On a previous episode of American Idol, Perry was starstruck by Cassandra Coleman’s performance of “Find Me” by Sigma ft. Birdy. She was so starstruck that she says the hairs on her leg stood up.
“As a new mother I don’t have very much time, so I’ve quit shaving my legs. But when you sang, the hair on my legs grew an inch and a half. Full body chills! It was amazing,” Perry candidly stated.
