What Is ASMR?
Since 2010 ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response) has become a growing internet trend that has taken YouTube by storm. On its own, a good quality ASMR video can receive over 16 million views.
As per Vox, ASMR is the term for the sensation people get when they watch stimulating videos or take part in other activities — usually ones that involve personal attention.
People have often described “tingles” that go down their spine whereas others have said that it can be deeply relaxing and even edges them to fall asleep. It is a brain massage of sorts that is catapulted by placid sights and sounds such as whispers, accents, and crackles.
