Katy Perry Admits She Doesn’t Shave Her…On ‘American Idol’

Katy Perry has once again proved that she is one of the most down to Earth and relatable celebrities. During Sunday nights episode of American Idol, Katy admitted that being on mommy duty with baby Daisy Dove has left her less time to do one very specific thing.
Katy Perry Confesses Mommy Duty Leaves Her No Time To Shave
It was during Cassandra Coleman’s performance of “Find Me” by Sigma ft. Birdy that Katy’s face lit up. She also performed “Apologize” by Timbaland ft. OneRepublic with Ryan Tedder himself. “Your voice is a spiritual experience,” Katy told Cassandra after the performance. “It is other worldly, angelic.”
But what she said next left the whole world talking. “As a new mother I don’t have very much time, so I’ve quit shaving my legs” Katy confessed. “But when you sang, the hair on my legs grew an inch and a half. Full body chills! It was amazing.”

Katy then hoisted her legs up on the judging table. The camera zoomed in on her legs. “She literally has leg hair” Luke Bryan confirmed. Add this to the list of reasons why we love Katy. American Idol posted a tweet joking about Katy’s remarks.

Katy posted “an actual live look at my leg hair” while she hears Cassandra sing. This tweet featured a video of a pair of legs growing hair.
“That’s so relatable, who had the time and energy to shave their legs on quarantine?” one Twitter user asked.

Katy Previously Got Candid About Breastfeeding On The Show
The Season 19 American Idol auditions were filmed two months after Katy gave birth to her first child with her fiancé Orlando Bloom. She wore a cow-print dress during the auditions that was breastfeeding-friendly. And she made sure to tell everyone watching at home.
Katy ripped off the front panel of the dress to reveal a nude-colored bra underneath. “If you need to feed, I’m ready to go!” she declared. She later revealed in a very relatable TikTok video that she wears Spanx underneath her clothes.
Katy and Orlando are very honest and open about everything including their sex lives. In his recent interview with The Guardian, Orlando said that he wishes he and Katy have sex more.
“Not enough – we just had a baby, though,” Orlando said when asked about how often the couple has sex. The pair met while Orlando was on a self-imposed six-month sex ban.

“I was going to do three months,” the actor told The Sun, “but I was really enjoying the way I was relating to women, and to the feminine within myself. I know that sounds crazy.”
