Jonas Brothers And BTS Go Head To Head At The AMA’s Ahead Of Nick’s Return To ‘The Voice’
GettyImages The Jonas Brothers definitely had a huge night at the American Music Awards this year as they were nominated in two major categories. Though they may not have won both awards, they still have some pretty big things to look forward to including the release of some new music and one highly anticipated return to The Voice.
Jonas Brothers Were Nominated At The AMA’s As Nick Gears Up For ‘The Voice’
The Jonas Brothers were nominated in the Favorite Duo or Group – Pop/Rock category. But, they had some stiff competition against South Korean boyband BTS and Maroon 5, whose frontman is former ‘Voice’ coach Adam Levine. BTS took home the win in this category and appeared virtually to thank their loyal fans.
The group was also nominated in the Favorite Artist – Adult Contemporary category against Lewis Capaldi and Maroon 5. The giving out of this award was not shown on television. The Jonas Brothers were previously nominated for two awards in 2019. They made their first AMA’s performance in 10 years with their performance of “Only Human” last year.

The Jonas Brothers also have something to celebrate just in time for the holidays with the release of their lyric video for the song “I Need You Christmas.” It features images and videos from their own family Christmas celebrations.
Nick Is Making His Return To The Hit NBC Show As A Coach
It has been quite a huge year for the Jonas Brothers as they have a ton of things to be proud of. Nick Jonas just announced that he is returning to coach season 20 of The Voice next year. He will be taking Gwen Stefani’s spot in the rotating panel of coaches. A promo was released for this new exciting season along with returning coaches Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson and John Legend. “I’ve been living and breathing The Voice since season 18,” Nick says in the video. “I’ve honed in my skills. Channel your inner champion. Make Blake cry!”
He also posted the promo on his Instagram account. “Warriors never sleep,” he captioned the post on Instagram. “I’m back and ready to win this thing. See you next season on @nbcthevoice!!”
Nick has been spending quarantine with his wife Priyanka Chopra. While the pair have been taking care of their three puppies, Nick is excited to get back to work on The Voice.
