James Corden Gives ‘The World’s Best’ Scoop on ‘The Ellen Show’
We’re only about a week away from the premiere of The Worlds Best, but the show is still shrouded in mystery. Luckily, host James Corden took to The Ellen DeGeneres Show to share a few little nuggets of information to tide us over until we finally get to see the first episode!
Check out the clip below (which also features James playing a fun game of Ellen’s signature game “Hot Hands”)!
Okay, so we didn’t get too much information out of this interview, but one thing to note is that the producers of this show spent over two years scouring the globe for acts, and made a strong effort to find performers we hadn’t seen on other American talent shows in the past. We tend to get a lot of “repeats” in the talent show world (American Idol contestants later going on The Voice, people popping up on World of Dance a few years after their time on America’s Got Talent, etc.) so it’ll be nice to see some new blood on The World’s Best.
James didn’t reveal any of the specifics, but it also sounds like we have some danger acts to look forward to on the show! These kinds of acts don’t always fare too great in competitions with home viewer voting, but since World’s Best is an entirely pre-taped program, hopefully some of them will do well on the show.
The World’s Best premieres Sunday, February 3 on CBS after the Superbowl (and we don’t think James has any reason to be nervous; so far it’s sounding like it’ll be a fun and exciting competition!).
