The renowned news host spoke on his son’s birth recently on his show in an emotional tribute, expressing his overwhelming joy over his new child. Whilst Cooper gets to grips with being a parent, could good friend, Andy Cohen step up and form a new relationship with Cooper?

Anderson Cooper paid an emotional tribute to his newly born son on his show recently, nearly shedding a tear or two whilst reading the autocue. “On Monday I became a father. I’ve never actually said that before out loud,” began Anderson. “It still kind of astonishes me. I’m a dad. I have a son. And I want you to meet him”.

The news presenter continued to discuss how blessed he was to be given the opportunity to have a child, despite during his childhood years thinking he’d never have the opportunity. Cooper has been openly gay for many years now and was given the opportunity to have his new child with the help of surrogacy.

Cohen has taken to social media many times since the birth of Cooper’s son. Last night at around 3am, the television talk show host wrote: “I am crying @AC360”. You aren’t the only one Cohen, believe us.
However, sources are already suggesting when speaking to US Weekly, that the CNN presenter is quietly reuniting with his ex, Benjamin Maisani. A source spoke to US Weekly, claiming the two are ‘planning ahead’: “They very quietly got back together and are planning ahead. Ben is selling one of his clubs and cutting back on how much he does at night so he can spend more time at home with Anderson and the baby.”
The two dated for over 9 years, forming a special relationship they still claim to hold onto today.
“Benjamin and I separated as boyfriends some time ago. We are still family to each other, and love each other very much. We remain the best of friends, and will continue to share much of our lives together,” said Anderson at the time of the breakup.
