‘The X Factor UK’ To Add A ‘Got Talent’ Style Golden X Buzzer

So, it’s not exactly a secret that The X Factor UK has been in trouble the last few years in the ratings. This year producer Simon Cowell has tried to shake things up by changing the judge’s panel completely. But that’s not the only change. The show will also be adding a Golden X buzzer that sounds an awful lot like the golden buzzer on the Got Talent shows.
During the infamous six chair challenge, each judge will have a golden x buzzer in front of them. If they hit the button that will ensure that singer’s seat and they cannot be swapped out. It also means that they go straight to the judge’s houses round. This is good news for whoever get the buzzer because they don’t have to worry about losing their seat.
Will the change in judges and these added tricks in the game be enough to save the show from the ratings purgatory it’s been in? I don’t know but I have serious doubts. It is possible that the show has simply run its course.
