The Missing People Choir have said during the course of their appearances on Britain’s Got Talent that if only one person would be reunited with their family as a result, it was all worth it. Guess what? They got exactly what the wished for.
Today ITV released the happy announcement:
“Following the Missing People Choir’s performance on Britain’s Got Talent last weekend, we are pleased to announce that a missing child has been reunited with his family.”
Clare Cook, co-founder of the Missing People Choir and Deputy Director of Fundraising and Communications at the charity, confirmed that the teenager contacted his mum after seeing his appeal on screen.
In a statement, she said: “We are delighted to announce that a 13-year old missing child who we appealed for on Britain’s Got Talent during the Missing People Choir’s performance saw his appeal and called his mum. He is now home safe and well.”
His image was also shown behind the Choir as they performed last Friday and Saturday, where they delivered emotional renditions of Birdy’s Wings and With You from Ghost: The Musical.”
