Howard Stern is the next celebrity to take a stance on the recent ‘America’s Got Talent’ controversy but what the mainstream media missed was the juiciest detail of his entire rant! He spoke in defense of Gabrielle Union while crapping on her later and took scathing jabs at both Simon Cowell and AGT. Lets break it all down.
Before we dive into Howard Stern, lets break down this video where TMZ recently caught Alonzo Bodden on the street to discuss the latest AGT feud between Gabrielle Union. After being told the joke, he said he didn’t see how it was racist and said it was just ‘old school humour’. Bodden also said that there wouldn’t be a ‘Cancel Jay Leno‘ movement because like if he could be canceled, he would have been years ago.
“How is it that Simon Cowell has orchestrated this?” Stern said, on a recent episode of his radio show. “He sets it up that the men stay, no matter how ugly they are, no matter how old they are, no matter how fat they are, no matter how talentless they are.”
This has been the case for many seasons on AGT. Howie just recently celebrated 10 years on the show and has never been replaced.
The same with Cowell when he joined the panel back in 2016. Adversely, AGT has seen many female judges replaced on the show since it’s first air date. From Sharon Osbourne to Heidi Klum to Alesha Dixon, the list is quite honestly endless. Stern also mentioned how the show has a strong track record of regularly swapping out judges for “hotter chicks and younger chicks.”
However, the radio show host wasn’t done just there. He took a direct hit at boss, Simon Cowell, questioning the need for him on the show: “And why don’t they change Simon? … This is the ultimate example of a boys’ club.” Classic Howard Stern!
Now you would think he is siding with Gabrielle Union but ahun… think again. He is Howard Stern after all.
“Let’s go on record as telling people that one million dogs are still eaten annually in South Korea, and if Gabrielle Union wants to effect positive change, maybe focus on the horrors of Korean dog farms and let the old irrelevant comic live in peace,” Stern said. “She wants Jay beaten in the streets. I think maybe Jay makes a point.”
