It has been reported that Mel B has received a series of angry text messages from Lauren Silverman, Simon Cowell’s girlfriend. Silverman apparently was shocked to hear rumors that Cowell and Mel B were having an affair.

Mel B responded to Silverman shortly after, reassuring the 42-year-old socialite that her and Cowell were never a secret fling. A source close to Mel B told The Sun that the singer was ‘so upset’ after receiving Silverman’s messages: “When she found out about the rumors Mel was so upset. She said, ‘It’s against everything that I stand for. Mel also said, ‘Anyone who knows me, including Simon, knows I would never ever consider doing anything of the sort to another woman. I’m a woman’s woman.’”
Simon Cowell’s relationship has been a particularly popular subject this week after Amanda Holden’s daughter was caught on Instagram live, questioning whether Cowell and Silverman had split up, posing the question as to whether Simon’s relationship with Lauren is in troubled waters. Holden dismissed the claims quickly afterward in a panic.

Sources claim ‘Simon and Lauren are very happy together as a couple’ and ‘there was no affair’
Sources close to the couple have told the MailOnline that the rumors surrounding an affair or a possible break up are ‘utterly ridiculous’: “Clearly this story is utterly ridiculous and completely pointless – because there was no affair. Simon and Lauren are very happy together as a couple. They have been in lockdown together in LA for more than six weeks now.”
The MailOnline has also just recently published pictures of Cowell and Lauren driving around Malibu, collecting toys for their son, Eric. Maybe this is a good indicator that things are back to normal at the Cowell household but let’s not forget that Simon’s relationship with Lauren too started as an affair. Lauren was his close friend’s girlfriend at that time.
