As a huge fan of talent shows myself, I can say that I’ll forever be a diehard America’s Got Talent fan that also enjoys The Voice. I created this quiz to see just how popular certain shows really are. You may think one contestant is amazing, but what does everyone else think? Take this quiz to find out how popular your talent show opinions are.
2021 was an amazing year of talent shows. I can’t wait to see what’s on the rise for the year ahead. The winter season is right around the corner with the beginning of American Idol in February. The beloved series is returning to ABC for it’s 20th season on the air, but will not be accompanied by NBC’s The Voice. Although The Voice typically premieres in both fall and winter, the network decided to switch to a once a year format.
What Else Do We Have to Look Forward to?
Even though The Voice won’t be on air, it has been rumored that AGT: Extreme will premiere in late February following in the Olympics. This America’s Got Talent spin-off series is created for the daredevil lovers. The contestants on this series will perform danger acts for Simon Cowell, Nikki Bella, and Travis Pastrana. In March, Canada’s Got Talent will premiere to Citytv with America’s Got Talent hopefully following close behind. On top of AGT: Extreme, brand new show American Song Contest will premiere on NBC. On this series all fifty U.S. states, five territories, and Washington, D.C. will compete for the title of Best Original Song.
As for January, RuPaul’s Drag Race and Go-Big Show has returned to their respective channels for their newest seasons. Even though it’s sad to see the 2021 talent show year come to an end, there are a great number of shows airing soon on television. Out of all of the upcoming shows, I’m really excited to see American Song Contest on air. The formatting of the show is entirely new and I really hope it’s as good as it sounds like it would be.
