Can you believe it’s already time to crown a winner on season 19 of The Voice? This season has been moving so fast but the final five artists are ready to battle it out for the win during the two night finale. So what is the big prize this year that the winner will receive?

What Will ‘The Voice’ Winner Receive?

According to The Voice contestant Joseph Soul, the prize on The Voice this year is the same as last year. This means that remaining artists Jim Ranger, Ian Flanigan, Desz, Carter Rubin and John Holiday are all vying for the $100,000 prize and a contract with Universal Music Group. Joseph also gave us some special insight on the COVID-19 protocols on The Voice in an exclusive interview that you can watch down below. There was a ton of speculation last season that winner Todd Tilghman actually did not receive a cash prize and only walked away with a recording contract. This was because of the fact that NBC only mentioned that the winner would receive a recording contract on their website.

Todd cleared up all of the speculation in later interviews and said that he actually had plans for the money he received. Todd revealed that he planned on taking his family to Disney with the cash prize in the future. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, he’s spent a lot of time thinking about what to do with the money. “There’s a possibility that that money might pay the bills for a little while” he said in an interview with People Magazine.

Will ‘The Voice’ Winner Find Success After Receiving A Recording Contract?

So, one of the season 19 contestants is about to get a whole lot richer. But will this years winner go on to find success? It’s no secret that past winners of The Voice have struggled to achieve notoriety under the recording contract that the show provides them with. Blake Shelton previously said that it is frustrating that sometimes there is no “follow-through with the record deal.” He said it has been something that he has been vocal about since the very beginning in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.

Blake said that after America connected with Todd and voted him as the winner of the show, he even offered to help give the label the push to make sure Todd finds success with his own music. “I wish I had a record label that I could sign Todd to” Blake said. Of course last season was a bit different because everything was virtual amid the pandemic. He urged Universal Records to make winners of The Voice their priority.

This season, the contestants have been performing on stage live in front of a virtual audience. Hopefully America has been able to connect with these artists enough to support them even after the competition is over.
