One Direction singer Harry Styles was reportedly mugged at knifepoint on Valentine’s Day. The crime apparently took place hours before news broke that Harry’s ex-girlfriend Caroline Flack was found dead.
Harry was apparently unharmed in the incident, and he showed up to perform at the BRIT Awards this evening. Read on to find out what reportedly happened, and how Harry is doing now.
Harry Styles Mugged At Knifepoint
According to Us Weekly, the robbery took place at 11:50 pm in the Hampstead neighborhood of North London on Friday night. A source said Harry is “OK.” London’s Metropolitan Police Service told the magazine, “A man in his 20s was approached by another man [who] threatened him with a knife.”
Police said the man was “uninjured,” but the mugger took cash from him. The police are investigating, but there have been no arrests.
A source told the Daily Mail that Harry was “shaken up” after the incident, during which he apparently “played it cool.” They added, “Given how Caroline took her own life the next day, the pressures of a new album and a performance at the BRIT Awards this evening, it’s fair to say this is the last thing poor old Harry needed.”
Harry Pays Tribute To Ex-Girlfriend Caroline Flack At The BRITs
Harry’s alleged robbery came shortly before news broke that former X Factor host Caroline Flack had passed away. Us Weekly reports that Harry and Caroline dated from November 2011 to January 2012, after meeting when Caroline hosted The Xtra Factor.
After their breakup, Harry tweeted that Caroline was “one of the kindest, sweetest people I know.” He hasn’t made a public statement about her death as of yet, but he was photographed wearing a black ribbon on the BRIT Awards red carpet, in an apparent tribute to her.
