It’s Going To Be A Soul Music Off At ‘The Voice’ In This Sneak Peek

One of my favorite types of music has to be the soul music of the 60’s and 70’s. In the American music cannon there has rarely, if ever, been a more energetic and…well…soulful music. This season, on The Voice, there is a lot of soul. Alicia has great soul singers aplenty, but Kelly has two of the best with D.R. King and Tish Haynes Keys. In this sneak peek they show how it’s done.

D.R. King did an unbelievable version of The Temptation’s I’m Losing You. Like, as good as the original unbelievable. And the original was sung by a group and not just one dude. But Tish, not to be outdone, came roaring back with Patty LaBelle’s Lady Marmalade and slayed. Of course, Tish was originally on team Adam but Kelly stole her because she wanted her all along.

Alicia’s team is super solid but Kelly is no slouch. With these two and Brynn Cartelli, she could easily take the prize. We’ll have to wait and see but one thing is certain: Monday is going to be awesome.
