The X Factor UK has shaken things up this season, introducing us to an awesome brand new panel of judges. Most of us know a lot about some of the panel, but a lot of us are still in the dark about judge, Ayda Field. Here’s 10 facts about the only female judge (girl power!) on the current season of The X Factor.
1. Ayda Field is a comedic actress that got her start in showbiz by appearing on the American soap, Days Of Our Lives.
2. You might recognize Field from ITV/Netflix’s show Paranoid. The talented actress was able to showcase her abilities across the pond as well. Field also appeared in the UK series Fresh Meat.
3. Field has found a segway between talents, acting as a guest host of ITV talkshow Loose Women.
4. As most of us already know, Robbie Williams is her one and only beau. The doting pair share two adorable kids.
5. Field received A TON of backlash for joining The X Factor, because she doesn’t have a background in music. Field spoke of her experience stating, “I think for me, on a professional level, I’ve auditioned for years… I know what it’s like to have the stakes high. To put it all out there… I know what it’s like to get the job, I also know what it’s like to lose the job.” Fields goal is to help singing hopefuls find their dream, and guide them to a path of success.
6. Entertainment runs in the Field family, as her mother is American film producer Gwen Field.
7. Interestingly enough, both Field and Williams have a fascination with extraterrestrial activity. Field participated in Williams’ BBC Radio 4’s documentary about UFO’s.
8. During the birth of their second child, Field’s birth was live-tweeted by…you guessed it Williams. The singer even quoted lyrics from Disney’s Frozen, encouraging his wife to let it go.
9. Field had one of the most unique proposals to date. Williams asked the actress to marry him live on an Australian radio station in 2009.
10. Overall, Field has a complete grasp on the entertainment industry and hopes to give her expertise to aspiring artists, with her new X factor adventure.
