America’s Got Talent Finalist Michael Ketterer could be in for the collaboration of his dreams! In case you missed it, judge Simon Cowell originally called Garth Brooks out to write a song for Michael to sing in the Finals. This was during the feedback for his Semifinals performance. After plenty of hype and a massive push on social media, Garth has finally spoken out about the request!

Here is his video response:

That’s right, Garth has already talked to Michael Ketterer about what a collaboration could look like! It’s honestly no surprise that Garth responded and is willing to work with the finalist either. Simon is a master at making these things happen. Plus, the two collaborating together just makes sense. As Garth said:

“It’s a chance to create music, which is what it’s all about for me.”

With all Michael Ketterer has already accomplished, this collaboration would really be the cherry on top. He has been a fan favorite all season, not only for his insane talent and soulful voice, but also for his inspiring personal story. Michael and his wife have six children, including five sons who they adopted off the street and from orphanages. There’s definitely an opportunity there to write a song that’s very special and unique to Michael’s story.

But don’t get too excited just yet! Garth also said this about the collaboration:

“These things, you can’t just make that happen. You have to chase the music. So I’m working on it. If it happens, I hope it’s something he likes.”

Whether or not a song can be written, rehearsed, and performed before the Finals next week, Michael Ketterer clearly has an awesome vote of confidence from Garth. But fingers crossed it can come together! It would make for an epic AGT Finals performance from Michael.
