AGT judge Gabrielle Union turned 47 on Tuesday, and earlier this week she hosted a star-studded party to celebrate. Since it was so close to Halloween, Gabrielle and her guests wore costumes for the occasion.
The party also featured performances from hip-hop stars Saweetie (who happens to be Gabrielle’s cousin), E-40, and Too Short. Check out some fun clips from the party in the video below.
Gabrielle Union’s Costume Birthday Party
Gabrielle dressed up in a Clovers cheerleader outfit as a reference to her role in the 2000 movie Bring It On. Saweetie wore a matching uniform, as did Gabrielle’s daughter Kaavia. They posed for some adorable Instagram photos together.
Guests at the birthday bash included actress Tracee Ellis Ross, who also turned 47 on October 29. She dressed as DJ Quik. Snoop Dogg also made an appearance, as did The Real host Jeannie Mai.
Saweetie performed her song “My Type” at the party, and was followed by E-40 and Too Short, who noticed that the crowd didn’t know the lyrics to his song “Blow the Whistle.” He told them, “It’s a motherf–king singalong if you know the words! If you don’t know the words: Shut up!”
Is Gabrielle Union Returning To ‘AGT’?
Gabrielle recently wrapped up her first season as a host on America’s Got Talent. However, she won’t be returning for AGT: The Champions in January. Instead, former judge Heidi Klum and BGT judge Alesha Dixon replaced Gabrielle and Julianne Hough.
The Season 14 judges have yet to announce if they’ll be returning for Season 15. However, as last season ended, Gabrielle told People that it was an “emotional” experience for her. “It’s emotional for me to watch people come so close to their dreams coming true and being so close,” she said. “Seeing their faces contort and anguish in pain, I don’t like it. I don’t find that entertaining.”
We’ll have to wait and see if Gabrielle is willing to go through those emotions again for another season.
