‘The Four’ Still Not Doing Great In The Ratings
As much as we love The Four: Battle For Stardom, we have to admit that they are in trouble. Their ratings have been less than stellar all season. For a show that receives as much hype as it does and with the star power of the judges and host, you think it would do better. If I were the producers, I’d be worried.
On Thursday The Four only managed a 0.8 share in the ratings which is about 2.8 million viewers. Contrast this with AGT that usually nabs around 12 million or The Voice and American Idol which range at 7-10 million. It’s true that The Four’s audience skews younger and younger people are going to get their content online on YouTube or streaming which isn’t counted in the ratings.
However, ratings are still vitally important. That metric is what the networks use to sell advertising time to sponsors. Without that ad revenue there is no show. Maybe Diddy can buy some ad time to buoy up the show.
