‘The Four’ Judges Discuss What They Want For Next Season
We are going through The Four withdrawals since the show’s finale last week. But we need not worry as The Four will return this summer at some point. The show did very well in the ratings for a new show right out of the box. So, the question is: how do they top the first season and make it different. They are looking at expanding the genres.
At the LA celebration for the show’s finale, Meghan Trainor and DJ Khaled were already looking to the future and discussed what they were thinking of doing to make next season stand out. Khaled said,
“It’s only going to continue to get greater. I’m sure we’re going to get together and do more greater things because this was our first time doing it and so many ideas are flowing and that’s what’s so good about this show, a lot of things that you’ve seen are just natural, honesty, the truth, organic and vibes just happening and the show just exploding. That’s how you’re supposed to do it.”
Meghan added that one thing they are definitely doing is adding more people from different genres. There was some criticism that the show was very R&B heavy and that they needed more rap, country, and rock. Well, those people are getting their wish. She said,
“More genres for season two, more rapping, more rap for sure.”
I’d like to see more rapping as well. That is, after all, one of the things that sets this show apart from the others is that it’s not strictly traditional singing. I personally can’t wait to see what they come up with.
