‘The Four’ Gets Its Best Ratings All Season
It’s no secret that The Four hasn’t exactly been a ratings dynamo this season. It’s true that it’s on a difficult day, Thursday, when it is up against a lot of popular programming. But still, it’s not been pretty. This past week The Four had a big uptick in viewership that hopefully is a sign of an upward trend.
This past week The Four got a 0.8 share which works out to about 2.6 million viewers. In previous weeks the had done a million less viewers. This is partly due to things heating up on the show as it heads to the finale. We’ve noticed on all of these talent shows that the early episode don’t do as well. People only start tuning in when the chaff has been separated to use a Biblical analogy.
The producers at The Four have got to be worried. Even though those numbers are better, they are still not that great. The decision to renew the show has got to be on the horizon. It’s true that many younger people, (the bulk of their audience), are watching the show either streaming or on YouTube on our channel. But, of course, that does not count in the ratings and does not add up to advertising dollars for the network.
