Recent ‘Survivor’ Sexual Harassment Controversy
As E! News points out, Gaither’s arrest comes just a few weeks after sexual harassment allegations were made against a contestant on the current season of the CBS show. Kellee Kim accused fellow competitor Dan Spilo of inappropriately touching her and other women in the game.
Spilo later apologized, saying, “If ever did anything that ever even remotely made [Kellee] feel uncomfortable, it horrifies me, and I am terribly sorry.” Meanwhile, two of the other women on the show admitted that they embellished their accounts of Spilo’s behavior for gameplay.
Kellee Kim was later voted off the show. The controversy has started conversations relating to the #MeToo movement.
