Footage of ‘X-Factor’ Judge Sexual Harassing Mel B Resurfaces

An old video of X-Factor and America’s Got Talent judge Mel B being sexually harassed has resurfaced and is starting to make waves in the media.
The clip from a 2014 interview featuring the X-Factor judges at the time shows Louis Walsh reaching down behind Mel to grope and squeeze her – er – lower backside, while talking to the interviewer. She quickly realizes what is going on and shifts away from him, holding up a hand as a sign to back off as she calls him out on his behaviour. Walsh claims to be “helping [her] out” and starts to laugh, but Mel is visibly bothered and disgusted by his behaviour.
It may seem strange for a clip from four years ago to go viral like this, but the twitter user who posted the clip seemed to do so with a purpose. They captioned it with “sexual harassment on live TV folks” clearly intending it as an example of how casually this kind of situation is often treated.
